What's next?! I've started learning Zelda 1, which seems to be a lot of fun. I have wanted to speedrun it for a while, but I'm still not 100% sure it's my next grind. Castlevania 1 has been suggested, and I have to say I'm pretty tempted with how short it is. Any suggestions are welcome!

I got the world record in my second NES game on Friday. This one was a lot of fun. I had never played this game growing up, but I know I would have loved it if I did.

I won the Zelda II 100% NMG tournament! That was a really fun one. I had never tried this category before the tournament started, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. GG's to everyone involved!

I don't know why it took me so long to get the cart, but now that I'm running the game, it's only right.

The SMB1 challenge seems to be going well. I'm almost halfway into the 25 hours I have to learn the speedrun and I'm almost done with the practice/learning part. Can I get a sub-5? I think so, but there are a few problem areas. We'll see!

I was also gen II, but I was always behind on consoles growing up, not that I really noticed.

Yeah.. I could understand if they were decent seats, but that's $200 to barely be able to see anything. Bummer

After not much consideration at all, I've decided to join @junkyarddave.bsky.social and a handful of people in his "get a < 5 min run in SMB1 in 25 hours" challenge. This includes all learning, no off-stream practice. I'll start after I finish the Z2 remake.

I've been playing Hoverbat's Zelda II PC Remake the last couple streams, and it is incredible. I have only heard good things for the past year or so and it definitely lives up to the hype. It's kind of in between a remaster and a sequel. So many new things!
