He almost immediately spotted that. He couldn't exactly bring himself to say something about it, though.

"Huh? Don't apologize for that."

"Ah, uh. . . Sure."

Usually, people persist more than she does. He's a little surprised.

"I can't disclose information of that kind."

At least he's upfront about it, one way or another.

Well, now he's in it for the long haul.

"A client."

"I'm. . . Waiting for someone, you could say."

That makes two of them.

"Kage. I suppose it's good to meet you."

Well, he could kind of tell that. Emphasis on kind of.

"Sure."

Cue a brief pause before he made a question.

"What's your name?"

". . .I'm just tired, that's all."

And he finished that sentence with a quick sip.

. . .well, that's an interesting assumption.

"Nothing is troubling me. Why do you ask?"

He glanced over at her.
