The Plas-5 Scorcher in Helldivers 2 is kinda good....

The fact you can two shot chicken walkers from the front with a main weapon isn't half bad, I gotta say.

Also works pretty well on devastators and as a bonus, it can take out tanks too on vents :O

I have not tried it against the bugs yet.

A singleplayer video game not receiving constant updates? Oh no, how terrible! Live service has really done a number on the industry.

Don't get me wrong, getting new content is cool and all but sometimes a game is allowed to just be done, yano?

I am really looking forward to seeing what comes next and I HOPE that the patches won't slow things to a crawl again or that the next expansion has a dip in quality like I've heard some people say. But I'll hold off my opinion until I've experienced it myself. But yeah, 10/10.

It feels like they finally figured out what exactly they wanted to do with the game from both a story and gameplay aspect. The cutscenes, quest pacing and how the fights in the duties played out all served together to form a nice blend that didn't wear out it's welcome.

Also had a really purple forest, and I really liked the feel of Ahm ahreng's eastern part, great stuff. But to sum up:Shadowbringers is often referred to as the actual start of the game and I am inclined to agree.

The environments were pretty varied and had an odd eerieness to them that I really liked as I was progressing that changed over time which made me feel like my actions mattered to some extent despite being linear. The multiple towns actually having significance was nice too.

The trials however I found a bit lacking with how few of them there were, but every dungeon boss kind of felt like a trial by itself so I say that balanced it out. I can't say much about the trust system since I used the duty finder for all of them but I've heard it's good.

The dungeons are probably the most fun I've had with them so far in this game. Very intense experiences, where a little slip up results in disaster which adds some real tension and risk/reward to them. And a lot of the bosses just don't use standard orange circle at all!

The pacing had serious improvements from Stormblood's, where it was literally all over the place with urgency one moment to useless filler the next. With the exception of one particular questline, most of the times you got stuck doing busy work it was still advancing the MSQ.

And as such we reach the end of Shadowbringers. The story took the advancements they made in how they treat their story and took it up to eleven, creating an amazing tale with great story beats(Minus certain recurring trends that annoy me which is spoiler territory.)
