At my brokest, I signed up for bookbub and got freebies and also hit the public domain like a tornado and my kindle has more books on it than I have weeks remaining in my life as a result.

... *really*? the ebooks are like 5$ CAD or less.

If you can't afford that, save for it.
Or read any of the free stories on Wattpad, Royal Road, etc. Don't steal from small business that already operate at a loss
