I sorta miss twitter’s TTRPG community but what I really miss is Google+’s TTRPG community.

Who knows when he inserted the them, was it all at once or spread out over months? We always wondered why we’re going through so many balls. Also my wife was right, I fixed the pipes for around $70. 11/11

What the repairman saw in the exhaust piping was a tennis ball. And not just one, no. When my wife sawsalled through that pipe, she found, not 1, not 2, but 8 tennis balls in the pipe. The exhaust pipe goes through the wall of our basement and cones out at exactly German Shepherd mouth height. 10/11

price was too high and we could do it ourselves. She was right on both accounts. After the furnace guy left she took to the pvc pipes with a sawsall and removed the blockage. I was rather vague on what the blockage was. But this is where the connection to Einstein (our dog) comes in. 9/11

and a curse. It took the furnace guy a while to figure out what was going on. He eventually used a borescope, and fished it down the exhaust pipe and discovered a blockage. He quoted us $1000 to cut the exhaust piping remove the blockage and fix the pipe. My wife unilaterally decided that 8/11

repair guys’s scheduled to come between 12 and 4. I get a call around 2:30 from my wife, the initial cause of the blower not coming on has been fixed but the furnace still isn’t working and I’m gonna have to do some work when get home. Both my wife and I are somewhat handy. Which is a blessing 7/11

house warm. She’s already called a furnace company and they’ll be coming out later that day. I’m relieved, hopefully it’s an easy and inexpensive fix. But I’m panicking a bit, I tend to catastrophise. The furnace has a 10 year warranty and we’re on year 10.75. All I can do is wait. The 6/11

It’s a rather cold day. Especially for October and particularly inside our house. She tells me that the exhaust fan comes on, runs for a minute or so and then shuts off before the gas ignites and the blower kicks on. We’re lucky. We have a gas fireplace that can keep a decent amount of the 5/11

rather than up the chimney and out above the roof. It’s super warm and we’ve not had any issues with it. Anyway, we turn on the furnace and set the thermostat to 70, and go about our day. I drive to my job my, wife works from home. Around 10:00 my wife calls. The furnace isn’t working. 4/11

tolerance isn’t what it used to be. So after carful consultation with my wife we decide to turn on the furnace for the winter. Now our furnace is approximately 10 years old and is one of those high efficiency ones that uses almost no energy and has air in takes and vents out the side wall, 3/11

I was also a set the thermostat to 62 and wear a hoodie kind of guy too. But my wife is the opposite and likes to not live like a starving college student. So the temperature outside drops to the point that it’s kinda cold. And after 11 years of marriage I’ve become complacent and my cold 2/11

Here’s a story that’s actually about my dog but doesn’t seem to be at first. It’s late October 2023, and being a responsible home owner I of course haven’t scheduled my annual furnace inspection. Now I’d always been a wait until the last possible second to turn on the furnace kind of guy. 1/11
