there's three solutions for this
1.Do as your friend say and just bend the metal to fit the pose, no one will notice
2.Spend hours trying to understand the joints and where and how things are connect to body so you can design a comfortable armor
3.Just accept the lack of movement and do them stiff

you think so? I'd say power armors are only actually difficult to draw from weird angles and poses, but usually they are pretty straightfoward and give a bunch of liberties if you don't mind how goofy the character's body is looking under it
