In order to support the filming process in my institution, I will delete this video of Grebe dance and will not post any other videos that recorded in my hometown until the end of this year.

Meet House Sparrow 3011-88932 (band number). He is the 6,000th bird we banded on the Rutgers Newark campus (since 2011). As you can see, he was slightly bemused by all the ceremony.

Something in game part~
I was finally I reached the rating 12 in #arcaea , a #rhythmgame I played for eight years.
Yesterday I was joking to one of my friends(who is already 12.50 rating in this game) what if happened if I was gain it in April Fool's day.
Now it's happened.

Something updated in the academia part:
Unfortunately, I was rejected by the grad school I applied to in the 2025 cycle.
I know there are many factors for this year, no matter for myself or the environment, but I will try to continue applying in 2026.

The black-crowned night heron might be the easiest waterfowl species to draw as a brob. 😂

There are 4 crane sepceis:
Siberian Crane (白鹤，Leucogeranus leucogeranus) : Critically Endangered worldwide. Most of them are wintering in Jiangxi and it's also the provence(state) bird.
Hooded Crane (白头鹤，Grus monacha)
White-naped Crane (白枕鹤，Antigone vipio)
Common Crane (灰鹤，Grus grus)

Ducks and gooses in Poyang Lake, Jiangxi.

It is hard to identify them in monoculars in such a long distance.😂

*The volunteer project of bird window collision is part of the “anti-bird-window collision alliance” (Chinese:防鸟撞行动网络, hope I remember the English name as well) in China, founded by Dr. Binbin Li, a professor form Kunshan Duke University.

Thought there was only two volunteers come（most of volunteers are college students and working finals these days）, we shared our experience and discussed the future events that can be held in public.

Hope we can hold more when the time I was still in in Nanchang🙏

It was a great opportunity to present my research in Beijing #AOC2024!! Many people are interested in my topic even though the research on bird-window collision is at an early stage in China.

That’s the bird on my list!! I hope I can see it tomorrow!!

And I will give stickers designs by myself (it’s the collaboration with the institutes I do my internship) if you ask questions in my talk or see me on conference!

Excited to see my 100th bird species in China: Red-flanked Bluetail, even though I first met it in NJ, United States.
And the first critically endangered bird species: Siberian Crane! The Poyang Lake at my hometown is one of the important wintering places for them! #bird
