I'm about halfway through Act 2 atm and I haven't really "struggled" with any section of the game. Maybe my perception of difficulty in games is fucked but I feel like the discourse is misguided toward focusing on damage alone, or maybe not fully honest with what makes Silksong difficult. 3/3

My mind jumps to negativity bias, where seeing yourself take more damage gives the perception that the enemy is harder, even though you could always only take 3 hits. It's weird too because the current system still allows you extra mistakes in some sections that only do 1, making it easier. 2/3

I want to rant about #silksong difficulty. I've seen people hate how every enemy deals two masks of damage, and I get the funny feeling that if you just started with 3 masks instead of 5, and enemies only did 1 mask of dmg, people would complain less even though your effective health is the same 1/3

The thumbnails are fucking killing me that's truly awful 😭😭

I was cautiously optimistic going into Nightrein but I love it! Glad to hear they're adding more to the game

Just finished Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and goddamn. Easy game of the year contender for me, the story, music, and world building are some of the best I've ever seen. I think Wilds might have it beat gameplay wise, but it doesn't hold a candle to everything else.

I hope you're able to do it, but it also doesn't give any unique rewards, despite the quest description, so thankfully you aren't missing out on anything
