Four years on: Ukrainian communities endure winter and war | MAG Recent months in Ukraine have been defined by a bitter winter. With reported lows of minus 20 degrees, the cold has seeped into all parts of every-day life.

This incident is part of a wider pattern of deadly explosions across Syria in recent months, with people killed or injured while travelling, farming, or simply playing near unexploded devices, and serves as a reminder of the importance of clearance work.

This week in #SriLanka, MAG met with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment & Tourism to discuss future plans & collaboration to highlight Sri Lanka’s humanitarian mine action efforts.

Before the war, she worked as a hospital engineer. Today, she clears landmines left behind by conflict.

A special discovery in Laos 🇱🇦

MAG teams recently uncovered a buried Buddha statue just metres from a local temple.

After safely excavating it, the statue was returned to the temple for proper care. Local monks came to bless both the sacred statue & the site where it was found.

Building safer futures in the Caribbean | MAG For small island states, the risks posed by aging stockpiles of conventional munitions are real and urgent.

In the #Caribbean, the risks posed by poorly stored or obsolete ammunition are urgent. They can become unstable, creating the potential for unplanned explosions.
