1) defined multiple optional wine journeys with small menu size cards defining the journey and a three-five things to look for (eg three regions / styles of a single grape)

2) actual notes on what cheeses will pair and make a wine pop and why

3) always a lack of sweet wine and when/why they work

Really enjoy his approach and review. Very good communicator. You can tell he enjoys good wine as much as he enjoys finding good value.

I have not tried a wine based on the Sagrantino grape and will put it on the list. We have something in Texas your note reminded me of (Tannat) which can be a little bold and harsh without time to soften. Is Sagrantino often found as a singular varietal or used to blend for structure?

1) Try a Tempranillo and compare to a Rioja

2) Try a Viognier and compare to a Rhône Valley
