Fair, though I have a little respect for him rejecting an opportunity for himself based overt sexism against his wife (my bar is in the dungeon after 23 years in academia). But agree - the guy that asked his mom (and talked about it easily and openly in a news article) actually got a smile from me.

Sadly, I'll take the bare minimum from successful academic men at this point.

And a couple of them get points for seeking and following advice from their mothers or wives - and specifically talking about it.

Most striking is that they SOUGHT and LISTENED TO the counsel of these women. It should be less remarkable than it is that these successful academics did so. Apparently, viewing women as individuals with value and agency may be associated with saying no to being bought by a billionaire pedophile.

See, the thing is we haven’t been—not because past presidents were perfect angels or thrilled with Iran, but because they didn’t want to close the Strait of Hormuz, evacuate American civilians from the whole region, and set the world economy on fire.

Because she was working with a federal task force, she was considered a federal officer, and thus protected by SCOTUS rulings making it all but impossible to sue federal cops, even for egregious abuse.

Now consider what this means for Trump's immigration thugs.
