As white-nose syndrome threatens bats nationwide, this scientist's probiotic ‘cocktail’ could save them | CBC News Canadian research scientist Cori Lausen is studying probiotics as a treatment for white-nose syndrome, which is caused by a fungus called Pseudogymnoascus destructans.

Canadian biologist Cori Lausen is using probiotics to help protect bats from a fungal disease threatening populations across North America.

Our own Pender bat biologist, Sue Dulc, worked with Cori during her MSc — incredible “made in BC” science in action!
