Specks are considered contraband, since they have no chance of surviving in a world of real men who would likely neither see them nor care for them

Right after PT, he sneaks over to the micro city right off base to massage his big sweaty sore feet by annilihating a few of their city blocks

Other soldiers managed to find uses for the little specks

Josh spends some of his free time near the edge of the base where he can easily catch some micros that aren't tainted from the sweat and dirt of his bunkmates

He uses them instead of salt to help season his bland food and to add in protein

"I don't care about the ones around my feet, I just wish these little punks would stop flying around my face" Tyler said to one of his buddies next to him

He pulled off his sweaty sock, he used it to whack the little fighter jet out of the air

Micro battalions are all over the base

In a perfect world the military would be able to keep them out but they're too small to keep off the property

It's unreal just how many get swept into soldiers' boots when they go out for runs

The military is stationed in Microland to keep regular men with ill intentions away from the territory

They usually look the other way when service members cause micro casualties, both accidental and intentional

Hey they were saving the whole area right? So what if a few million get stepped on?

The micros are so tiny that they often attack boots that nobody is even wearing

They simply can't tell at their size, I'd feel bad for them if I felt sympathy for dust particles

What makes it more pathetic is that the military is stationed there for the micros' protection

Micros outnumber them by a magnitude of trillions, but they're so tiny that their efforts are futile

They see it as a full-on war to take back the land the military base is settled on

The reality is that they're at war with soldiers' toes

Most soldiers were pretty unphased by the aggressive micros

Their weapons weren't strong enough to cause any pain to regular sized men

Most enjoyed the opportunity to just get to train and hang out all day, ignoring the pesky little gnats around them

One-Sided War

Being stationed in Microland is considered a highly desirable non-combat position in the military

The locals don't quite agree about the non-combat designation

Beach days look a little different for giants

While they can't dig their toes through the sand in the traditional sense, digging their toes through the micro cities is usually just as satisfying
