rlly the only thing im kind of iffy on (in comparison to cs/hm) is some dialogue & likeability of the main cast. things get repeated a lot and i find most of the characters bland.
but also i get to skip cutscenes instead of just mashing A & zoning out so this is all completely acceptable

it rlly is kinda insane how much im enjoying time stranger so far. i 100%'d cyber sleuth a few weeks ago and the quality jump in almost every aspect is just amazing to see. fuck i love digimon

ressipa is quite strong and his angel friends are all hollow on the inside so theyre easy to carry. even if they weigh close to nothing theyre still very impressed with his shows of strength

funny enough i also finished the 2d metroid series before trying hk again but its like, 1% of my internal comparisons. i guess ender lilies just has a way bigger presence in my mind (obvious to anyone who has ever spoken to me)

playing ender lilies before hollow knight was the worst mistake of my life. everytime literally anything happens im like "damn.... this is just like ender lilies...." as if basic storytelling devices or gameplay mechanics are wholly unique to it

on a real note this game 100% definitely influenced a fuckton of my writing in my own projects, particularly in the idea of "tragic horror". seeing somebody twisted beyond belief, barely even themselves anymore, perhaps all they know is hurting others now.... mmmmm mmm so delicious yum

going through the hallways with the scary-ass burnt elsen wandering around and getting your ears assaulted by broken laundry machine noises whenever you fought one.... nothing can ever be the same

i think the downfall mod for sts has legitimately made sts my #1 game of all time. insanely good mod. the lore/headcanons it adds is so so so fun
