Chances are pretty good you are going to see more bicycle traffic than you have in the recent past.

As I've said during many of these time changes, fixing the clocks is easy; I'll have every clock in the house fixed in five minutes. It's all the not-clocks: Cameras, old electronics that don't change themselves, all of which need their own instructions manual and 10 minutes apiece of fiddling.

On the way home, surveyed a couple blocks of sidewalks but did not try to finish what I missed. Plenty of time to finish that later. 6/

Got my online meeting set up the earliest yet, 6:58 am. Done and out of there by 9. 5/

Today, overslept so transit to downtown was out. Scootered the whole way to my usual spot under the bridge in 5Ave. Arrived only 15 minutes later than planned. 4/

It really helps to take it easy on the throttle and to make best use with battery regeneration via anticipating stops, using the recharge feature on the brakes and made downhills work in my favor. 3/

With only 18 range miles left on the battery, I was able to get the 14 miles home as well. Remarkable as there’s lots more climbing on the return trip. Still had 3mi left on the battery pulling in the driveway. 2/

Two successful scooter trips in the last two days. Thu, I rode it to Murray Ave in Squirrel Hill. I’d planned to recharge once I got there but forgot. Fortunately I thought to conserve battery juice on the way there, so managed to travel 14 geographical miles on only 12 battery range miles. 1/

Exited that bus at North Ave just past Federal, spent the early evening in NovaPlace aka Allegheny Center. Left there & walked up Federal all the way to Perrysville & Burgess. 20:01 8 ob 6711. Surveyed a lot of sidewalk on Federal Street hill. 3/

Wow, someone needs to shovel out the bike rack.

16:52 8 ib 6311 Center Ave at Park Ave West View. There won’t be time to do any sidewalk surveying today. Should’ve left 30-60 mins earlier if I’d intended to do that. 2/

An afternoon trip into the city. Started off on the scooter, rode to the Ross park & ride. Upon arriving, noted that the inbound 8 wouldn’t arrive for > 15 minutes so decided to get some walking in. Walked upstream two bus stops. Now, only 4min until the bus. 1/

Final transit leg: 21:26 13 ob 6508 Liberty Ave at 6St. Get to the hide & ride then a quick drive home & off to bed. 12/

Walked from the Dormont Dunkin Donuts to Peermont Ave. Yeah it’s drizzling but I’m not made out of sugar. Wouldabin nice to have had the brains to think to take an umbrella w me this morning but naw. 9/

Looking at the sidewalks along West Liberty Ave heading up into Dormont, they’re in horrible shape compared to Perrysville Ave. I hope someone surveys these but don’t wait for me to do it. 8/

Just looking at it from the bus window, some of that section I’ve yet to do is in sad shape. Maybe it can simply be cleaned up with a rake and a shovel, maybe not. I’ll take notes when I can look at it properly. 6/

Once I’ve done from Hemphill St down to McIntyre I will have surveyed both sides of Perrysville from the city line to the lower intersection with Federal St, and Federal down to North Ave. 5/

Exited that 8 at Vinceton St then started surveying the west/inbound sidewalk. Gave up just past Perry HS. The rain made it difficult to do anything on the iPhone. 3/

It’s not raining too hard so I might do some sidewalk surveying. I have three hours to get to Dormont so I may as well. 2/

Today is my monthly Dormont trip but I’m tying it to a few other things. First, a car trip to West View to load some equipment from my locker. Then to West View Brew for lunch and to write up meeting minutes. Then 15:25 8 ib 6005 West View Park at Giant Eagle. 1/

Busy day at the library! Every parking space taken. Good thing I didn’t arrive in a car! So, where to park? Where the two-wheeled vehicles are expected to park, of course.
