So the compound was collateral damage in our attack on the school?

In a normal world, cabinet members would be doing a full court press with the media exlplaning that this is what putting Britain first looks like, and that Reform wants the UK to be Trump's vassal state.
But why would any cabinet member do that when Starmer could just change his mind tomorrow?
Unless the Times answered with an unequivocal yes and then acknowledged its own ongoing complicity, I am not interested.

I don't care what anyone says, I like this better than "Wages of Fear."
Call me a philistine (whole other topic, but philistines got a bum deal they were way more cultured than the people who use the term as an insult).

Relax... Trump and Hegseth have thought through all the second order effects of their attack on Iran and have a brilliant strategy for dealing with all of it.
I totally believe the US media when they tell me the President is playing 5D chess... he's so cerebral!
Aren't these the same people insisting that we should subordinate our national interest to the US?

Reporter: "Would you call the current increase in gas prices a tax on all Americans."
Trump: "That's a stupid question and you are a bad reporter for a failing publication and you're fat and ugly."
Press corps applauds their president loudly.

Dear Donald
I am delighted to hear that you have "already won" the war in Iran and no longer need to beg for our help now that the war is over.
Congratulations on your triumph,
Keir

I like Wrexham and would love to see them in the Prem later this year (or soon).
But McElhenney's issue is with the rules of the game, not VAR.
Though "fuck the rules of the game" is not as catchy.
if Democrats vote against funding, Repubicans will be forced to remind voters that they sent American soldiers to die for the Epstein files.
Why do so many people act as if s can never win an argument, even (especially?) when they are right and a majority of Americans agree with them.
Look forward to seeing Wrexham in the Prem, later thisyear if all goes well, but within the next 2-3 years for sure.

One of the first consequences of this war was the closure of the Straits of Hormuz, which resulted in allowing India to once again buy Russian oil -- a major boost to Putin.
It's entirely possible that the attack on Iran has already achieved its one strategic objective,
In what way is it a gamble? What exactly does he have to lose?

08.03.2026 10:15 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I think VAR before the fifth round would be expensive and impractical, especially at smaller grounds and games with limited camera angles. You couldn't do it in the qualifying rounds, for example. The fifth round seems about right to me, but it's not a hill I would die on.

So when you do something stupid and make yourself vulnerable, your rivals might take advantage?
How was anyone supposed to predict that?
And then they learned about Markwayne Mullin...

So when we decide to give up and go home, we'll just declare victory?
Isn't that exactly what critics of this insane adventure said would happen?
