i don’t even really know if this was intentional or just a byproduct of the book trying to rectify elsa not ACTUALLY being a main character in 1 (because she has to be nicer if she’s the protagonist!!!!) but i had A Moment where i thought anna would have one singular negative character trait

0% to both. there is ONE choice with interesting potential and it goes nowhere but basically there’s a moment at the ball where elsa implies she’d like to slowly rebuild her relationship with anna, so anna rushing into things with hans reads more selfish because she wants immediate gratification

now that i’ve seen two versions of this story i cannot stress enough that anna needs to say “maybe elsa means it when she says we can’t be closer” literally once because if you don’t do that the big sacrifice has no weight. oh the thing she was saying she’d do all movie. who could have ever guessed

2 star letterboxd review for frozen the musical: ever want to watch a musical that both desperately needs you to love its source while also sheepishly admitting they wrote the movie wrong? do you care whether it’s successful at either of those things? no? frozen the musical!

i AM sideeyeing OP but this might be her truth & i'm sympathetic to the fact that she's gotta make a living - & because that snippet from "josee" has been SO divorced from its intended purpose i'm willing to cede that there's not much she could realistically do at a certain point

i do want to elaborate that my primary umbrage is with guys who watch short the same way as that one montage from "josee the tiger and the fish" which irregardless of the context of the film has been warped into a male fantasy of infantilization under the guise of "support" and "acceptance"
