Can anyone tell me what edition of Arkham Asylum this is? I can’t find an isbn on it. It’s got a slightly padded leather cover.

Look at the beautiful cover in this 1936 German edition of Sherlock Holmes stories, titled after “The Dancing Men”.

They both look great! I've got the Sherlock Holmes Book Nook waiting. I think the Ideas line was a brilliant--well, idea. I'm severely tempted by the riverboat. Some of the suggestions are fantastic. This is my current favorite suggestion.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but nobody has the right to tell you that a bookshelf with a rolling ladder “won’t fix you.”

Just a wee shout and a holler about this Sherlock Homes set currently gracing the shelves, as Conan Doyle never lingers very long here.

Today and tomorrow are the last days of our February sale, so it’s the perfect time to build a stack while browsing!

A great little story - most definitely of its time - but one that has a lot of humour, pace and depth. We also covered 'The Debut of Bimbashi Joyce', a companion piece that features Kitchener, and a vignette I've always thought was very well done.

I am almost finished with watching Poirot for the first time.

Weird to see a show that ran over 25 years all in one run - you can see the time passing in the actors, but it does all hang together well.

Weirdest revelation: I never before realized that Ariadne Oliver was married!

Today was one of my most anticipated @rosenbachmuseum.bsky.social volunteer tour guide in training days; I booked some time to pore over the library.

It was so nice to just take my time, tilt my head, and go shelf by shelf.
