Today we say goodbye to Kew, our third home together. We’ve loved being part of the Kew-mmunity. I enjoyed being part of Threads of Kindness (a local volunteer group) and a book club at the local library. We’ll miss the flying foxes, wonderful local businesses, street art, and more!

One of my reading goals this year is to read more of my owned library… Kobo’s activity tracker is a good reminder of why I set that goal.😅 (But on the plus side, this also shows that I use local libraries a ton!)

And to the extent that SoTR is all about propaganda and very clear that what we know about Haymitch's games is heavily edited by the capitol. The game rewatch chapter was so good! But there are for sure things you know if you've read the other books and cannot be considered spoilers.

Have you done the download your Goodreads back history? Storygraph should update all of your old books for you. It's occasionally flawed bc I've seen a few books it didn't capture but certainly a time saver compared to uploading everything yourself!

I enjoyed The First Fifteen Lives of Henry August and should check more of her stuff out!

I find listening at a faster speed (at least when the narrator is slow) helps me stay focused instead of zoning out, but it's not for everyone! Starting with books you know you'll enjoy and finding good narrators are good strategies too.

It's such a good read. It and it's sequel (Those Beyond the Wall) really stuck with me. Another favorite read of mine is The Ferryman...bit of a different story but sci-fi/dystopian with interesting main POVs.

I think they have levels (graphic, moderate…) but having a warning on frequency would be really helpful. It’s a tough book so probably wise to stop!
