It makes me sad because Bluesky is the first place I've felt appreciated, even with my small amount of followers and my extreme shyness... Thank you all so much for that! I hope I can come back and share my art as soon as possible! 💖

So I'm keeping my comms closed, as it's not fair to keep clients waiting for too long. And to be honest, I won't even have time to draw for myself, either. I think I can't take art seriously until I have a proper job and some free time.

It sounds dramatic, I know, but to become a librarian, I have to take exams that are announced at short notice. When that happens, I have to devote all of my time to them, and obviosly I can't commit to work on commissions. And it looks like the next months are going to be full of exams...

Hi, guys! Yes, I've disappeared again. At this point, what's strange is for me to be active around here. 🥲 I wanted to say that I'm finally going to accept the hints that life is giving me and I'm going to give up art for a long time.

My goodness, I thought, "I'll just highlight a few," and my list was 14 people even after some cuts. I'll narrow it down!

Starting with Mery! She's very nice, approachable, and does fantastic work. I had such a good experience commissioning her the first time recently that I hired her again!

Like, I keep thinking "this is the year I start my comic" and I get all excited and it's always for nothing. Maybe it's better not to get excited in the first place?

It's so frustrating having lots of projects and things you want to do with your art and then... have no time to do it. It almost makes me want to forget about art completely and save me the disappointment. 😮‍💨

Hi, guys! I disappeared because, on top of my exam in March, they recently announced another one in TWO WEEKS. So I had to close comms (still working on the ones I've got!).

A very busy start of the year 😅

Just before Christmas, I got a puppy. Her name is Minerva, and we call her *Minnie. I'm still learning how to understand her. Me: Do you need to go outside? Do you need to go outside, little baby? Do you need to do a poo? Do you need to do a widdle piddle? Minnie: Arf! *I just call her "little baby" most of the time. I'm also realizing I can't turn off the baby talk now. Nobody tells you about that.

I got so lucky with my first puppy. Her wonderful foster parents had her completely house-trained by the time we adopted her, so taking her outside for potty time has been pretty easy. I've got the puppy poopy routine pretty much down, now. Me, putting on my coat: Let's see... I got the little poopy bags, puppy treats for bribes, jacket, scarf, phone… I think that's everything… Oh yes! And my passport.

I had been carrying around my passport for a while, but I knew it didn't matter. This is wrong. Nobody is required to carry around their papers. I became a US citizen when I was seven. Since I was born in a refugee camp, I was stateless. The US is the only nation where I've ever held citizenship. It's the only passport I've ever had, and it still felt important. Protective. I would hold it in my pocket like a talisman, like it might ward off ghosts or something. But I realized I was holding onto it basically out of superstition. ICE will pick up anybody. I know that. So I tucked my passport away. And I largely avoid leaving my house.

I live a few blocks just South of George Floyd Square. I was in the neighborhood for that, too. And all the neighbors came together to protect each other. We're already organized. We'll do our best to get through this. Me, to my dog: I hope I can take you for a walk someday soon. Won't that be nice, little baby?
