You do not, under any circumstance, "gotta hand it to" Microsoft...
But I'll admit I'm glad they finally stopped marking deleted drafts as unread by default in Outlook. As an autistic/OCD person who cares deeply about unread notifications, this is a legitimate quality of life improvement for me.
LOL my first thought as well :p

First off, THANK YOU for covering women's sports, and for this writeup!
Second, DAMN that Houston blurb is harsh lol. The sadness factory is closing down, we promise :p

The Houston one is the old Houston Chronicle building. I don't know if I'd go so far as calling it iconic, but it's a pretty famous historic building in the area, and the namesake of this particular kit.
Whether it actually looks cool is up to each person haha. I think it's pretty neat!
Probably the most underrated meat I'm aware of...now I want carnitas dangit!

My 7yo drew me a picture of an anthropomorphic cup of coffee last night. Then told me I was "pretty rad, for a dad."
Yeah, I think I'm cool with my choice to have kids :)
Since today is apparently a "John posts hot takes" kind of day, here's another one:
Brutalism is a really cool aesthetic and should be more appreciated.
If you really can't stomach that concept, you're probably a bad person. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but this is literally something I teach my kindergartener, and full-grown adults not being able to handle it is frankly pretty embarrassing.

So at the risk of coming across condescendingly, I'm going to tell yall what I tell my kids:
Sometimes, we apologize not because we think we did something wrong, but because we care about other people and want them to know we're sad that they're sad, and that we wish it hadn't happened.
Seeing people act like it's crazy to apologize for things done unintentionally (man, that phrase is sucking up my character counts in these skeets!) is absolutely wild. Like, what the hell do yall's personal relationships look like if you act this way in real life?!?
25.02.2026 15:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0My meltdowns aren't my fault! It's just a result of my disability! And I NEVER apologize for being autistic. But I do apologize for harm done through no intention of my own. I think it's right that he do that as well.
25.02.2026 15:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0But at the same time I think he should be able to apologize for harm done, even when it's not his fault. I say this as someone with autism, who periodically hurts people unintentionally as a result of my condition. When I have a meltdown, or say something unintentionally rude, I apologize.
25.02.2026 15:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0To be clear, I'm not blaming the white guy for shouting the slur. From what I understand he has coprolalia as a result of diagnosed Tourette's Syndrome, which is NOT his fault. He doesn't need to apologize for being who he is.
25.02.2026 15:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That arrogance and lack of empathy nearly killed my wife, and nearly destroyed our faith - and I'd consider that situation less harmful than someone shouting a racial slur at racial minorities. I can't imagine how devastating it was for Lindo and Jordan.
25.02.2026 15:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0RE: the BAFTAs story, I'll admit that I'm a bit triggered by some of the discourse, as one of the first things that alerted me that I needed to leave my fundamentalist church was the elders' considered, intentional refusal to offer an apology for anything negative if they hadn't done it on purpose.
25.02.2026 15:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0
Closest he came was saying he's "deeply mortified," right? Which is all about him and not an apology.
This is seriously infuriating to watch. Kindergarten level stuff that full grown adults can't seem to handle.
If you can't apologize for unintentional harm, you're probably a shitty person. Simple as that.

Have the Dash ever done a full on Luv Ya Blue jersey? If not that would be sick.
Either way I'm pumped for Thursday's jersey reveal!
Also it's pretty fucking hilarious to act like a TWENTY FOUR YEAR OLD is some newborn lamb incapable of taking a moral stand.
