Orin The Red

The creature snarled, and recoiled from the flames, pulling Starlights body up with it, her hand still grasping the small gnome.

The attack did little to break her hold, and she slammed her back down onto the altar, pressing her weight down on top of her armour, attempting to crush her between-

-barely the size as her hand, so she would be easy to pin once she got a hold on her.

Orin roared loudly, echoing and shaking the chamber. She was growing increasingly irritated by the brave little gnome.

Standing over her, she raised one clawed hand high above her own head before slamming it down in Starlights directions with the intent to pin her to the ground. Starlight was -

-of, you insignificant, little creature?”

-seemed to burst into a red, blood like mist.

In her place stood a towering beast, standing high above the small gnome and looking down at her.

Orin had transformed into the slayer, and her voice was barely even recognisable now.

“Does this still seem like something you can fight your way out -

At Starlight’s continued defiance, Orin’s smile began to turn to a smile.

“I offer you pleasure and….”

Her voice began to deepen, a growl coming out of her mouth along with it as her body began to change. Her limbs contorted into unnatural positions, skin tearing and breaking before her body -

She pointed a finger toward Starlight, pressing it against her chest.

“You look fun.”

She stated in a hushed tone, drawing out the word “fun” into another laugh.

“Eventually, yes. But for now?”

Orin slowly approached the Gnome, her eyes locking with hers, their height the same as Starlight stood on the altar.

“For now I just want a new toy, someone I can play with. I’m so lonely. All of my toys, they keep dying on me before I’m ever done with them. And -

-friend is currently enjoying the touch of two Drow in a brothel. Completely unharmed and away from any of this.”

She waved her hand outward, toward the many hooded figures that surrounded the altar.

“Hmm….let me check.”

Orin’s eyes seemed to glaze over for a moment as she put herself under some sort of spell. Her vision blurred before it opened once again, giving her a view of minthara.

“Oooh, someone’s naughty.”

The spell ended, and Orin turned her attention back to the Gnome.

“Your Drow -

-slowly making her way up the steps from below, up to the altar. A wide, toothy grin formed on her face as she eyed Orin and the illusion of Minthara disappeared.

“Oh, is someone lost?”

Orin asked, her turning upward into a pout.

It was the laugher that Starlight heard first, a cacophony of voices echoing together, coming from the dark corners of the room.

But as the voices began to die down, one remained. A shrill, high pitched and demented laugh, that slowly died down as the shapeshifter appeared ahead of Starlight, -

-Minthara’s side. She had come alone as requested, making what would come next all the more easier.

There, at the centre of the altar, splayed out on a stone table, lay Minthara, or an illusion of Minthara.

Orin had laid the trap and Starlight had seemingly walked straight into it, just as she had hoped. Orin gleefully watched from the sidelines, hidden in the shadows as the Gnome rushed to -
