After seeing metas new AI users and the disgusting way it’s being rolled out, I’ve decided that I’m leaving IG for a while (maybe forever if I can work up the courage). A refusal to accept a bad bargain is power and for now, I’ve decided that I’m not longer going to give meta a single second of my attention or content. I don’t think people understand how devastating the end of net neutrality, and consumer protections around internet connectivity, are going to be. Imagine the situation where you pay for 4 or 5 different streaming services, each with different “exclusives” — but for the Internet itself.

There is damn near nothing good about AI usage at this point and it’s wild how hard it’s being pushed to appease tech weirdos and CEOs. We’ll be struggling to heat and light our houses and apartments while the rich consumes everything they see to become richer out of sheer greed
