Daniel Mendez is a Full Professor for Empirical Software Engineering at the Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH), Sweden, and Senior Scientist at fortiss GmbH. His research is rooted in the area of Empirical Software (and Systems) Engineering.

Tayana Conte is a Professor of Computer Science at Federal University of Amazonas. Her work advances software engineering, focusing on requirements engineering, user experience (UX) and human-computer interaction, and software quality to improve development processes and enhance the final product.
