I meant a second "state visit" for a president is unprecedented. They do still normally meet the Monarch, but not the formality of a "state visit". Sorry for the confusion, that's my bad!

Just FYI the monarch isn't expected to meet all heads of state, ie. state visits are a privilege, not the norm. This is purely to soothe Trump's ego, with the hope that Trump won't retaliate against the UK with tariff hikes etc etc.
