St. Richard’s? I had an operation on my ankle there when I was 11. As I was being wheeled into the operating theatre a nurse lent down and quoted, “welcome to my parlour said the spider to the fly.” High on the pre-anaesthetic, I thought it was hilarious. Don’t suppose they’d do that now.

Do try and find I Am Cuba, The Siberian Mammoth (2004)- a Brazilian documentary about the making of the film. It’s full of fascinating detail about the ropes and pulleys and film stock, but also the excitement of the Soviet crew at being in Cuba 👊🏽🎉💃🍹🇨🇺
