Loves cats. Now also a proud dog owner. M.E. (Towards the milder end - although that’s a total misnomer). Autistic. Experience of mental health services. Will talk mostly about the above. She/Her.
Uh no, they are coming as guests.
04.03.2026 16:55 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Also B uses the dining table as the desk most of the time apart from when we have guests or it’s a special meal, so I’d have to change and wash the tanks cloth all the time because there’d be lots more drinks stains on there. Maybe it needs one of those wipe able cloth! That’s a good idea actually.

04.03.2026 16:53 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0We also need to clean the windows before my parents come. I have been too exhausted to deal with that for at least a year.
04.03.2026 16:46 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0We still need to do a lot more paint work etc, some parts of the kitchen need doing up, the whole spare room needs doing up and the basement needs painting, also the decking outside needs the protector putting on, the cellar window needs sorting, all our windowsills need painting too. 😫
04.03.2026 16:46 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Screenshot of a medium blue mid century 2 seater sofa from SWYFT. It’s model 10.
At least I managed to order a new sofa for before my parents come after Easter. Some walls need touching up too in lounge due to coffee stains. I’ll probably have to leave the rug half chewed and the stain on the dining table.
But the garden will get a bit of a tidy up.
Yay for a new sofa though
True. Pfft.
04.03.2026 15:40 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Won’t it look patchy if we don’t sand the whole top and re varnish. It’s just I’m already so overwhelmed with everything else that needs doing in the house and garden.
04.03.2026 15:14 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The dark rings would still be there around the edges though right?
04.03.2026 15:11 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Photo of a lighting wooden dining table with stains where the varnish has gone missing.
This coffee stain seems to have removed the varnish on the dining table.
I fear the only way to repair this properly is to strip/sand the whole top of the table and re varnish it. Please tell me I’m wrong.

I wonder why the other person who ordered it needed 9kg of flour. Are they baking a lot of cake?
04.03.2026 14:11 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Most likely yes.

04.03.2026 13:47 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I think personality changes anyhow as we get older. I’m different to say my 16 or 30 year old self now. But I also notice that it can be easier to be my best self around some people and harder to be my best self around others. Yet however I am, they are all aspects of me.
04.03.2026 13:41 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Me too. It could just be my dodgy lower back, hip etc though that’s causing it rather than technique but I’m trying to believe its technique so that I can do something to fix it. 😂

Yeah it might be over rotation on my part in my back or down to the weakness and issues I already have in the area.
I put a heat plaster on it for the rest of the day. Do hopefully that should stop it from getting worse.,
I like some interaction in my day. I get lonely otherwise. Bigger groups are better if there’s an activity like crafts etc.
04.03.2026 13:36 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0No thank you. I usually alternate breaststroke and front crawl but i think the pain might be because I’m twisting my back too much during front crawl. So I’ll probably have to do less front crawl and slow it down and work on technique.
04.03.2026 13:34 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0That’s ok. I’ll just have to do more breast stroke again for a bit it’s not the end of the world

It’s defo the front crawl that’s aggravating the lumbar back pain. I did a lot less of it today and it still upset my lower back. I’ll have to reduce it even more for now.
The whole point of going to the pool is improving my pain not creating more pain.
I’m generally better with one to ones or very small groups of friends. Big groups are quite overwhelming, as I also don’t like changing conversation partners lots of times in groups and that’s what NT people do.

Have you ever noticed that the way people you have any sort of relationship with also changes the way you interact with them? I notice that being around different people brings out different sides and traits of myself in response to how they act.
Maybe others are more consistent than me though?
I know. It wasn’t even painful for her. Just a very brief fidgeting with her fur in a way she disapproves of.
04.03.2026 10:15 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Of course - she wondered off because I dared to remove some stuck on mud from her fur

Stella cuddles on the sofa and then off to the pool. I haven’t been since last Monday because of the increased pain I was in last week & working this Monday.
Hopefully I’ll remember how to swim 🤣
Oh no 😢
