It's mostly because having their games on PC will end up going to Xbox, and Valve's gabecube thing. Sony are trying to find that space for themselves. Nintendo do Nintendo things. PS6 isn't going to be a PC so...what do they do? They hoard exclusives. And hope it's attractive.

Do feel free to disagree. I dont' care enough about Sony PC games to care. I rather play indie horror, so feel free to be as dismissive of this as you want. I would suggest watching Xbox though. They have been moving this way for a while. Before last year at least.

The point is Xbox's new business strat is to lamp-ray onto PC, claim this is what gives Xbox value, and even Sony saw that as "Nope". We know this is what Xbox is trying to do, they have been clear - IF they even survive to the next Xbox.
Port quality isn't the problem. It's MS being stupid.

Sony do not want their games on a new Xbox. When Xbox can be selective. Sony have several times said they do not NEED a PC market stake. They do well with console. If you dislike their business, cool. I don't like it either. I sold my PS5. I own a PC that runs rings around it. That's not the point.

Then don't spend it. I'm not here to justify your spending practises. No one else. I'm pointing to why Sony is stepping back. Helldivers 2 having such a shit time till they finally pulled back is at least some proof to them actually TRYING to meet a PC market, but that isn't the point here.

And to be clear - I don't disagree. Sony ports aren't great. Doesn't change my point in the slightest. I'd want Sony to make better ports. I also don't expect Xbox to earn any favours or politeness from me, as I have countless friends fired by their bullshit cunt behaviour towards AI.

Sony port quality isn't the problem.

Xbox/Microsoft latching itself to Steam like a leech, and expecting to become relevant that way is, and Sony decided to flat out not play ball because of that.

So yes, it is. Port quality is one thing, that doesn't stop Xbox single handily being useless.

Blame Xbox/Microsoft. Not Sony. Id do the same thing. Xbox seem to think not doing the work is how they make themselves popular, and they aren't willing to learn.

That means Ghost of Yote, Saros, Wolverine, and anything now is just exclusive.

The thing is - this is a good thing to a lot of people. I'll even say it. I own a PC that can smash these games, but exclusives SELL. Xbox made the PC "Their turf" and as such, PC players suffer. Blame Xbox.

So, this is in reaction to the Xbox "Running Steam" thing. The Xbox doing that effectively pushes more people into the "Own a PlayStation" space. It's so funny to me. It just is.

Xbox becoming a PC made PC gaming less attractive to some people. Just insane.
