So Discord is actually delaying their global age verification to mid 2026, meaning sometime between May and August, due to the backlash and the mass exodus to other platforms. This is a step in the right direction, but we can do more. Keep up the pressure. Don't stop!

Discord Launches Teen-by-Default Settings Globally Discord is announcing enhanced teen safety features rolling out globally that reinforce its long-standing commitment to creating a safer and more inclusive experience for users over the age of 13.

Discord has responded to the criticism and concerns, but it is a nothing burger and does not inspire a lot of confedence. In fact, they are doubling down and claiming they "won't" store our private information.

I'm looking for other alternatives for instant messaging instead of Discord because of their enforced age verification. I've seen a few that can potential be better such as Telegram, Stoat, and TeamSpeak. If anyone has anywhere else, shoot it to me.
