The glasses were so ugly when we were kids. They got slightly better in the mid 90s. I had wire rimmed ones I liked. But I had braces too!! 6th grade to sophomore year in high school. Glasses and Braces. My early teen years were rough.

Last time I got them…a decade ago…I just didn’t like how they looked. I think if I get a pair I really feel comfortable in I’ll be more likely to ditch contacts daily.

Yeah I’ve spent my whole adult life like this. I have a pair of glasses that are like 10 years old but I only wear them for like 5 min in the morning. I’m the same, my eyes get so tired. I’d still wear contacts for date nights or special things. I just need glasses for every day that I like.

The glasses in the 1980s traumatized me.

I’m going to the eye doctors on Monday and I think I want to get frames I’ll actually want to wear every day. I’ve been wearing contacts daily for almost 30 years. So this will be a huge change for me.

I wore glasses daily age 2 - 18 and never thought I’d actually want glasses ever again.

I had a full hysterectomy and appendectomy last year and I got no pain drugs. Damn. Do they just hate women or are dentists cooler?

Early 2000s, I was a pharmacy tech for Walgreens. I’d work an 8-3 in one store and go to my home store and work 3-11. Then go out after work. Rinse and repeat.

Nobody cared. I used to make crazy overtime.

For me, zero drugs. Just copious amounts of coffee.

But in my late teens/early 20s, I was up all night watching the sun rise thanks to MDMA.

I marvel at my 20s/30s year old self that would stay out till 3 am and turn around and be at work for 8 am.

I really need these women to transition to Sunday brunch.

My friends want to go out on Friday night and I already can tell today, on Wednesday, that I will be too tired to go out then.

Newport has zero RI accent. Too preppy down there. Providence has a little. But that whole upper RI —Woonsocket, Pascoag, Buriilville definitely have a Boston accent of its own.

RI is such a weird accent. It’s Boston but not. Especially up in northern RI where my aunts and cousins live. It’s not like a southern yall like you’re thinking, it’s more of like a weird Massachusetts Yah’ll for you all.

Right now my cousin in Rhode Island just incoherently yelled “Yah’ll take my Dunkin’ ovah my dead bahdy.”

It was a scary time. I briefly thought I had a tumor. The dizziness was the worst to start. Definitely get an MRI. But if you have any of those symptoms, go to a good ENT.

Are you having any issues w/ your hearing too? I ask because I have migraines but I also have Menieres Disease. I get vertigo, ringing in my ears, fullness & slight hearing loss in one ear. I was diagnosed 3 years ago.
