Aside from the fact we need a top prospect at C, how many millions of dollars in merchandise did the #redsox miss out on by not drafting Ike Irish? Just selling jerseys with IRISH on the back in Boston would pay his salary several times over

Incredible that the Red Sox answer to "people are excited again because we have new talented players" was "trade the best hitter on the team"

Rafael Devers should’ve been a Red Sox for life.

The front office fumbled its relationship with the most important person in the organization and one of the best hitters alive, couldn’t fix it and just punted.

Mindless. A complete and utter clown show. Get Breslow the hell out.

Last week, DHS and Secretary Noem's staff and spokespeople suggested that because Mr. Abrego Garcia had $1,100 in cash on him when arrested outside Home Depot seeking day labor, that was strong evidence that he was a member of MS-13.

I guess that raises a similar question about her $3,000.

β€œWe’re gonna cut Medicaid, but no one will lose Medicaid as long as states spend more to make up for our cuts - so it’s not really a cut” appears to be the new GOP line.

It’s ofc bullshit - but also some states have automatic rollbacks of their Medicaid expansion if the federal match decreases.

In a matter of weeks, someone I went to middle school with went from posting Instagram stories of the cute breakfasts she makes for her kids to posting stories on the projected fatalities from shuttering USAID. Another now intersperses adoptable dogs with quotes from the Declaration of Independence

RFK Jr.'s comments on autism spark outrage among researchers HHS Sec. Robert F. Kennedy's comments on autism have sparked outrage. NPR's Ayesha Rascoe asks Colin Killick, director of the Autistic Self Advocacy Network, for his reaction.

"If [RFK Jr.] focused on policies that would improve the lives of the community, & above all […] if he would listen to autistic people when we tell him what we actually need, he would have a chance to do a lot of good for our community" ASAN's @colinkillick.bsky.social:

This isn't example of "Buy American." It is an example of Trump using tariffs to shake down foreign governments for his own enrichment. He is a gangster getting protection money. #Corruption

the most appalling part of this political era is the physical harm they are inflicting on innocent people but secondary to that i find the constant smug lectures from this country's biggest collection of hypocrites, scammers, perverts, pedophiles, and overall bozos very distasteful

Medicaid is meant to be a state-federal partnership. States are supposed to pay for 40% of the cost. Most states are paying for less than 15%. States have been cutting Medicaid for decades. People should not be asking what is the federal government doing, they should be asking why aren't the states doing more.

Senator Cassidy comes out for enormous cuts to Medicaid.

Not surprising given that he helped write the Graham-Cassidy Medicaid destruction plan in 2017.

Expect to see more of this from Rs - but don’t be fooled: cutting money to states to run Medicaid means people lose coverage and benefits.

Bring this to Judge Boasberg's attention before he rules on criminal contempt. And to Judge Xinis's attention so she can decide to rule on criminal contempt in response to the DOJ lies to her about the status of Abrego Garcia. And to SCOTUS. Paying to have him kept is not "facilitating" his return.

There's a widening gap between what the firms believe they committed to and what Trump and the White House think their pro bono legal work can be used for: tariffs, helping the coal industry, repping Trump and his allies if they become ensnared in investigations.
