Current way is not working.

I disagree. The time to think about the consequences was Jan 7 2020 and an insurrectionist was allowed to not face consequences. I also don't agree with your assessment of who has to be "thrown under the bus". But we'll never know what they require unless Democrats mount meaningful resistance.

I voted for Kamala last election. I just want the elected representatives to do their job and represent and lead. All resistance is coming from the bottom, where is the matching energy at the top?

I don't see any currently but when the election comes I'll do what I've always done, hold my nose and vote for the lesser of 2 evils.

an actual resistance not overly concerned with their colleague's opinion (and that's the kindest explanation) would use procedural methods:

Quorum calls, UC objections, forcing recorded votes, the two-hour rule.

Sure, they've made an environmentally catastrophic mass hallucination disinformation plagiarism Clippy that will destabilize the world, but also their other goal is to replace human workers entirely and let us humans starve. A boycott of AI is the most important boycott of your entire life.
