Good on them for actually communicating, that is a big step in the right direction
But the way the rule is written and those words are applied to the play is utterly ridiculous. Lots of CTE lawsuits will use this as an example of the league not caring about the science and by extension their players

This is good in the sense of accountability, but I really fear for how hes going to address the issue... in that he might downplay it massively

I agree on that, he is slightly overpaid for a 4C of course, but he stabilises the penalty kill a lot and is decent defensively, albeit bad offensively. Its just that the team doesnt really have any other center right now who is defense first, so he brings a different style of play, which is needed!
