New NACTO signage criteria just dropped ^kj

Ebikes are accessible to huge sections of the population that don't have the option to ride a standard bike.

This is a horrific precedent for a state to set.

I have attempted a tierlist of common styles of bike racks. (Just install staple racks!)

Is NDOT putting up more of these blame-the-pedestrian LOOK signs? I saw this one at Rosa Parks and Church, moments before two different drivers turned in front of two people crossing on the leading pedestrian indicator. (This is where Hume-Fogg student Elena Zamora was killed in 2013.)

My New Year’s resolutions are the same every year: read more books, ride my bike more.

If I do these things, everything else improves: fitness, mental health, energy levels, not being so murdery, appetite, sleep, the need to scream in your face.

Books and bikes, they make life better.

- Nashville built 5.9 miles of sidewalk, 2.6 miles of bikeway, and 1.1 miles of greenway in 2025
- 0 miles of concrete-protected bikeways were built this year, and 0.15 miles of bikeway were removed

Recommendations: build more sidewalks and bikeways.

CPSC: Coaster brake reqd for seat height lower than [whatever, I can't remember]
Manufacturers: hey we'll put a front brake on that doesn't actually work but it looks like it does! & big box store Bob the assembler won't gaf about it either!

These are the janky cheap ones on kids bikes @airbornegeek.com not the better ones from a past time. The pull ain't pullin' here. FWIW I generally take those off if the kids bike is a standard coaster too. Likely no rear brake on it other than coaster tbh. ^kj
