Social Security warning issued over benefits "interruption" The former commissioner Martin O'Malley has said that the DOGE audit of the Social Security Administration may "break it."

"The former Social Security Administration (SSA) commissioner has said that benefits could be interrupted due to Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) audit."

So many of us live on this each month. We cannot afford to go without, nor should we. Where's the justification?

Jane Graham Jennings on impacts of freezes on federal grants The Women's Community Executive Director Jane Graham Jennings discusses effects of any potential freeze on federal grant funds in the near and long terms for its domestic violence survivor services.

Real life consequences of these funding freezes/cuts. A domestic violence center in MI gets 75% of its funding from federal grants. They would have to close if this funding is lost, leaving survivors without potentially life-saving services.

They promised chaos, cruelty, and suffering and they are delivering. Who votes for someone who stops funding for WIC, Head Start, Medicaid, domestic violence centers, Meals on Wheels, the school lunch program, etc.? Time to contact our legislators and weigh in.
