Dead salmon mri. It’s an unthinking response to a surface form coming from the popular reaction to the implausible (right wing) child quotes of a few years ago. Now any pattern like that emits that response.

The life of an academic is measured by “wow these kids were born when I was in school, an undergraduate, a phd student, a lecturer, filling out my advanced care directive, etc”

Hey Everyone,

What are good world literature books/stories dealing with time and possibly time travel? I have a bunch but was hoping to crowdsource more 🙏

crypto folks called it: the world IS getting tokenized. they just didn’t realise that those tokens were for an LLM.

The busker on the yellow line of the rush hour BART is playing a distinctly off key rendition of Bella Ciao. Sometime the metaphors are a bit too strong.

Looking urgently for a #reviewer for a corpus-based analysis of N most frequent words

- in #NLP / #NLProc / #linguistics applications

- Even better if you care about Semitic languages but not a requirement

Please Emil / DM me if you can review!
Please boost otherwise 🙂

Thanks!

I don’t think this has been written well enough. I also think that it would be worth addressing whether this, finally, is the key that unlocks getting sophisticated digital tasks completed from programming in a way that doe’s require liking software engineering. (Cf visual programming, etc)

It makes sense since the defining characteristic of the Fed Chair’s role is to craft and deliver statements with laser precision.

With respect it’s not really a matter of solely that. There is an incredible amount of often fragile items - millions upon millions of documents - some of which might be transcribed and some which require extensive fine tuning to make available. Even if that’s done, artefacts are much much more.

Tim Berners-Lee was loudly asking why Twitter wasn’t its own protocol back in 2009. I was witness to one such discussion at WWW in Madrid.
