This includes examination of Lohmeier's baffling book on Marxist indoctrination in the military & his limited framework for UFO study. The article contends that ufologists should ask more of their proponents, not accepting everyone with a rank or title as integral to disclosure.

I reflect on ufology & its continual search for a hero, figurehead, or guru. Throughout the history of UFO study, individuals have been accepted as whistleblowers & spokespeople despite suspect political motivations lurking in the background. I argue these should not be ignored.

My message to journalists: When there are real people whose lives are affected by the issue you're covering, it might be wise to talk to them instead of an insensitively conceived clanker spouting banalities. But what do I know, I'm just a guy.

Was scientist T. Townsend Brown a fabulist, fraud, or phenom? I mean even I believe it's partly real, but I remembered to TRUST NO 1. I Think most of the government stuff has some level if stage magic or even just some extreme kayfabe.

Got one-shotted at the Monroe Institute, it murdered his skepticism in cold blood 😔

Is this a hoax, a disinfo campaign, or something different? Using other sources (like @jackbrewer.bsky.social,) we look at alternate explanations for Townsend Brown's odd career & address how Schatzkin's version of the story has been utilized by other fringe personalities. Read on in the article.

Plus, the Octopus rears its ugly head once again. "Danger Man" Michael Riconoscuito dubiously claimed to continue Brown's research at Learjet. In the forums for Schatzkin book, another tentacle, Ray Lavas added questionable direction to the research. Leading one to wonder...

But the story starts to smell off. One of his main sources, "Morgan," talks in Jimmy Buffett code & alleged to appear in another strange tale worthy of its own sidebar. He has an odd romantic relationship with Brown's daughter Linda, who seems to have her own credibility issues.

With a number of pseudonymous sources, Brown's story goes beyond that of a crank: He was involved in top secret research for a hidden intelligence group led by spymaster William S. Stephenson that was involved in antigravity, time travel, and other occulted endeavors.
