Iโ€™m sure he can come up with a bigger bribe. Thatโ€™s how he makes โ€œdeals.โ€

Either that, or blackmail.

Great guy.

So lawmakers will get half a million dollars because someone looked at who they called on the phone, but a wrongfully detained person gets nothing?

But for what reason could he possibly want to block their release????

Heโ€™s in big trouble.

This arrangement alone should be justification for the 25th Amendment.

So Iโ€™m guessing theyโ€™re all m*rderers? R*pists? Tax cheats?

No wait, thatโ€™s the president.

Theyโ€™re only guilty of entering the U.S. without permission - which is a misdemeanor for a first offense

I bought a $99 espresso maker and a $20 milk frother and Iโ€™m very happy with my creations!!

Someone asked me to โ€œpick up a Starbucks PSLโ€ for them a few days ago. It was $7.11 (plus $1 tip.)

Did I mention that Iโ€™m very happy making coffee at home?

Too cold there!

Probably time to crack down on all the immigrants in Hawaii.

Meanwhile, my high school class in Honolulu - good luck differentiating the citizens from the โ€œillegalsโ€:

Because that amount of money would be life-changing to so many Americans and he knows it.

Probably the cost for one guest to attend a Great Gatsby party at his Florida home.

I absolutely will! My parents went there in the 90s and loved it. (I have only visited via my Metaquest Oculus, but that was still pretty cool.)

Itโ€™s actually my last name, so if I get to go to Europe, it will definitely be a destination.

Iโ€™ve been self-employed since 2007 (read: poor) so Iโ€™m sure Iโ€™ll adjust.

The best part will be not opening my emails in the morning and holding my breath hoping that I wonโ€™t have to deal with an insurmountable issue that day.

Not gonna miss that.

My plan is to retire next December (2026) when my current government contract runs out and Iโ€™m over full retirement age.

That might change.

Of course my spouse canโ€™t retire for another 20 years. (I should have thought this through better.)

You poor dear! Thatโ€™s horrific.

And yet you made it to the world of software!

(So scary when we canโ€™t see the 1s and 0s flying through the invisible electricity!!)

Wow! So glad you made it through the treacherous 80s! Amazing and VERY RARE!!

Youโ€™re probably around my age (66) but my spouse is a bit younger (46.)

That illustration reminds me of the one the NYT used yesterday.

Beautifully brooding image.

How many of us have two anniversaries?

Mine are September 2003 and November 2010.

The first one โ€œdidnโ€™t countโ€ because it โ€œwasnโ€™t legal.โ€

So Iโ€™ve been married 22 years and 15 legal years (tomorrow!) to the same person.
