Complete other reality. We imagine that today it would be impossible to expand that ground at all with the trainlines and roads so close. But it would be incredible to be so close to the centre of Berlin. 🫠

Used a few times for Regionalliga ties but never regularly. Then with Hertha in financial difficulties, they were forced to sell the land. The place was demolished in 1974, thus being the reason Hertha don’t own their home stadium today. Makes big change from the Oly. #HaHoHe

💔🏟️ The long lost home of Hertha BSC. Stadion am Gesundbrunnen, nicknamed ‘Die Plumpe’ because of a water pump on Behmstraße, connected to a healing spring. With an attendance just under 35,000 It was used from the early 1900’s up until the founding of the Bundesliga in 1963…

Interesting to see Hertha Zehlendorf sitting on just 9 points, bottom of the Regionalliga Nordost, but with 3 games in hand. With Spring on the horizon and time in the schedule for those called off games, it would be amazing to see if Zehlendorf could make an escape out of the relegation zone. #RLNO
