The 2025 Reading Emotions symposium brings together facial expression researchers from different disciplinary backgrounds and experience to promote extensive knowledge exchange, networking opportunities, and the potential for developing new collaborations. Specifically, over two days, we will: 1) cover the latest research on facial expressions of emotion from a diverse set of perspectives that include clinical applications, AI, and human animal interactions, and 2) introduce novel methodological approaches used in experimental research, such as facial muscle stimulation.

The HAVEN study was developed to expand our capabilities in neurocardiometabolic research, supporting our expanding interests in healthy ageing, nutrition, brain and body physiology, cardiovascular and metabolic health. A new paper published in the @jphysiol.bsky.social showcases some of this work.
