Had a nice day in town. Highlights included seeing a Sinclair C5 parked on the street, buying a Jellycat that I’d been looking for, brunch with milkshake, spotting an instant noodle ceramic candle (@cheapshow.bsky.social) and buying a huge mochi pufferfish for only £8.

Honestly, it’s been a week for injuries. I cut my foot by dropping and smashing a glass bottle, knackered my wrist making Beanus, hurt my knee crawling over the bed, and scratched my eye by rubbing it in my sleep and waking up in sudden pokey pain.

I hurt my wrist making this nonsense.

Definitely beans.

We were planning to celebrate US Thanksgiving today, after DNA testing earlier in the year proved that my husband is descended from early American settlers (and related to Buffalo Bill!) The plan lost its shine after recent events, so we went to Southampton to indulge my Titanic obsession instead.

Fine. I'm not using bluesky to decide my world view. Social media is not a tool for understanding the world.

Unless you invite strangers along to shout their opinions in your face when you're socialising, you're in an echo-chamber too!

I’ll have them know that I’m an elder millennial and have been enjoying ‘fancy woke fillings’ for about 20 years.

Just got home from seeing @countarthurstrong.bsky.social live in Bath. This is the third of his live shows I’ve seen, and was excellent as always. Particularly nice to hear three of my main interests (Tolkien, the Titanic, and guinea pigs) mentioned in the show! 😅💚

Beautiful! I have a retro gaming slash art room, but it’s been a dumping ground for ages. Need to sort it.

It’s not an echo chamber we just don’t accept hate speech and shitty right wing media. It’s really interesting to see how hard the pundit class is trying to claim that if you don’t accept far right and increasingly fascist viewpoint, you live in an echo chamber. This is a demonstrable lie.
