Apologies, I was referring to staff who may see it as an addition to their workload and, as your article says, some who may not feel it is applicable to their subjects.

Love this. We are just embarking on our oracy journey and it's incredible to see the impact on the children in just a short time. Great to hear testimonies like this to win around sceptics.

#Brightonmarathon weekend done. What a gorgeous event. Reminded around the 18-mile mark about the importance of resilience, determination & ambition as the heat hit and the legs began to ache & the finish line seemed so close yet so far away. I'm sure there's an assembly in there for the children!

Inside the London reception class where kids are taught to talk to help them stay out of gangs A new initiative aims to improve communication, as as pupils lacking speech and language skills more likely to be excluded and caught up in violence

A great article in today's Observer and a life-changing project I am so proud to play a tiny part in.

A learning curve? A Iandscape review of AI and education in the UK

An interesting read on the use of AI and EdTech, especially around pedagogy, suitable testing of the products being marketed to schools, data protection, biases and protected characteristics.

πŸ’ The Takeaway πŸ’
Every run is part of the bigger picture. The tough moments build strength. The good moments fuel belief. And on race day? Every step will be worth it.

πŸ’₯ The Lows πŸ’₯
πŸ”₯ Heavy legs, self-doubt creeping in.
🌧️ The weather turning just as motivation wavered.
πŸ™ƒ The mid-run slump, where every step felt impossibleβ€”until I reminded myself why I’m doing this.

✨ The Highs ✨
βœ… Finding the rhythm, each step locked into the beat of my breath.
βœ… That moment when fatigue whispers, but determination shouts louder.
βœ… The final kilometerβ€”legs screaming, mind soaring, knowing I’m one step closer to the Brighton Marathon start line.
