The back of an Antonine marble inscription reused as a threshold connecting the western parodos with the orchestra.
Excavation around the marble block
Examining the inscription before lifting the marble block

It is the largest marble inscription ever found in Cyprus.

Divers in wetsuits guide the lifting of a large stone statue from the sea, using straps attached to a crane. The figure is being raised near the shoreline as waves crash around the team working in the water.
A group of people gather outdoors around a recovered stone statue laid on the ground. The statue appears weathered and partially broken, while the crowd observes and photographs it under a bright sky.
Three monumental statues were recovered from the seabed of Abu Qir Bay, Egypt'โs first such underwater operation in 25 years.
