Met with Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church and Rainbow Shelter to discuss efforts to address housing instability among young adults. I'm thankful for community partners who are stepping up to support our neighbors and be part of the solution.

This week, I signed Expedited Bill 31-25 to strengthen tenant protections in Montgomery County. By increasing eviction notice from 6 to 14 days & requiring landlord notification to the County, we can connect residents to resources sooner & help prevent homelessness.

I had the honor of celebrating GeorgiAnna “Mother Bernice" Martin’s 100th birthday in Olney. Born in 1925, she has spent a lifetime serving this community, her church, and Montgomery County. We’re better because of elders like her who carry our history and wisdom forward.
