Here is a concert poster I made for a band named “Tea For Two.” They are not a real band, but they should be. They sound like Primus meets The Denison/Kimball Trio and, hey look, The Ear Po-Po are opening for them! #gigposter

01.06.2025 21:06 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0An LP showing Patrick Stewart as Gurney on the cover. This LP was made in 1984... but never made it to record stores. Columbia Records produced the LP as an exclusive for their Columbia House subscription service members. Unfortunately, they went to press before Sting reviewed the final design. The record label erroneously credited Sting as "The Sting" on the cover. Not "Sting" but "THE Sting." In quotes, too, no less! The albums were sitting in warehouses, moments away from shipping to stores when Sting's lawyers caught the error. All copies of the LPs were collected and destroyed. Rather than repressing the album, Columbia called it a loss and let the project die. "We must fear Sting's lawyers," they said. "Sting is the record-killer." Only a few copies of the LP survived and have been seen in the wild, and I do not have one because none of this is true.
The back cover of a fictitious LP titles "The Ballads of Gurney Halleck, Sung by Patrick Stewart" featuring Dune-related song titles such as "Victory Song," "The Flaming Dames," and "Troops Long Past."
Here is one of my most prized possessions; the ultra-rare vinyl LP "The Ballads of Gurney Halleck" as sung by Sir Patrick Stewart, featuring Sting. More info in alt #dune
