There is no entity to be redeemed to and there isnt a fixed standard for what is good and what is bad. We're just here and its left up to each of us how we want to take care of each other.

No species is "rotten to the core," its just alive. Some of the animals like being greedy and selfish, others like caring for each other and being generous. This is present in all species. Humans especially are impossible to generalize their behavior to just one thing.
