i dont have this book but am in occasional correspondence with rick, so will ask if he can send the chapter. i dont think the book was ever digitized, so otherwise its a question of who has a hard copy of it. and i do know someone who has it, so will look into that option too

i had never heard of this before!

Rubble, twisted debris, and scattered materials cover the ground. Several people stand in a small group near the centre-right of the image, facing the wreckage. A vehicle is parked nearby. Tall smokestacks or chimneys rise from the remains of structures, with smoke or haze visible in the background sky.

On this day in 1943, an explosion at a US Army storage barn destroyed an entire block in Dawson Creek, BC. The barn stored telephone wire, nails, wooden crossbar arms and tires. Dynamite was also stored with percussion caps. The explosion killed five and injured 150 people.
