With the collaboration of met services from Central America, we evaluate in detail the biases in gridded products that arise from the underlying station data, and the effect this has on the apparent emergence of regional drying trends. Our paper is out today in @aguadvances.bsky.social 🥳! My coauthors and I use a simulation spanning the Last Interglacial (~130,000 - ~115,000 years ago) to show how changes in Earth's orbit impact atmospheric river behavior and the ensuing impacts on the Greenland ice sheet. 🧪🥼⚒️❄️
