I reminded her of my imaginary cat, the only imaginary animal I named, and she said it always fascinated her I never named any toy cats the same name, because a toy was different to me than my imaginary pet who I believed to be fully real

Reminded mum of this earlier and she was laughing so hard, then reminded me of how I didn’t ever lie about things, but wholeheartedly believed my imaginary animals etc were real, to the point where teachers were concerned because I told them I had to feed the farm animals before school

I need to get more details from mum now that I’ve remembered this and have a new perspective on why it happened, but I’m pretty sure they had to teach me a longer “phone script” - “can I ask who’s calling” “I’ll go and get them for you” etc

I don’t think my parents realised this was happening until dad’s bosses told him about it. I’d been doing this whenever I intercepted the phone ringing without my parents being aware of it. Friends and family had found it cute and just given it 5mins then called again to hopefully reach my parents😂

My parents had taught me how to answer the phone. Dad’s sergeant or whoever would phone, and I’d hear the phone ring and go answer, sometimes with my parents not realising.

“Hello?”
“Oh hello Franky, is your dad in?”
“Yes.”

And then, having answered the man on the phone’s question, I’d hang up 😌

Continue to be baffled by undergrads. Maybe 1/3 doing the low level of work expected of them, 1/3 not knowing how to do something like draw a basic graph and giving up instead of asking for help and the final 1/3 not even bothering at all and just sat on their phones even when lecturer walks round
