the UX angle just doesn't hold up, these projects aren't that complicated compared to their proprietary counterparts. why not write your own baby-proof klipperscreen/qmk web configurator instead?

it bothers me that theres extremely robust, configurable and extensible open source firmware out there for some hardware, and manufacturers still go out of their way to make something worse that they wont maintain. why don't more keyboards come with qmk? why don't more 3D printers come with klipper?
